SACHIN TENDULKAR – OF MIND AND MATTER



So off I set with my trusty tools of the interviewing trade – an average cassette recorder (average price, average size for finding in my voluminous bag, average inconspicuousness so interviewees won’t be distracted), plus a notebook and pen to jot down ideas as questions are being answered ...

  1. Not sure why comments aren't being posted ... maybe there's a glitch in the Google system that's preventing them. I'm happy to receive them, that's for sure. In fact some people have taken to emailing me ... which isn't as good, since we all want to share in your comments, don't we?

    This statistics nerd hopes at least four. That would make Sachin the second player - the only one to date being England's Brian Close - whose Test career spanned his 20th and 40th birthdays. Sachin is, I think, the only contemporary player with a shot at this honour, and the increasing physical demands of the game make it unlikely that any future player will achieve it.
